With a crunch Champions League last 16 decider against Real Madrid looming after Sunday’s league finale against Norwich, Foden said City needed to maintain those high standards.

“We tried to be positive and we looked back to ourselves,” said the 20-year-old.
“Everyone in the attacking area wants to score and get assists. Everyone is pushing each other for starting places.
“Now I think it’s important we play well and perform well against Norwich (ahead of Madrid).”
