There was an opportunity for fun and games as Manchester City’s pre-season training continued in glorious sunshine on Thursday.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be hard at work over the coming weeks, but the players had the chance to take part in some light-hearted drills as our first friendly against Preston North End nears.
And, one such activity saw the squad divided into teams of three for a relay race involving a mini football and bin!
The aim of the game was simple, manoeuvre the ball between a series of obstacles, with the final challenge a series of keep-ups before attempting to land the ball in the bin.
Benjamin Mendy and Riyad Mahrez’s group was the team which excelled before the squad took part in a training ground favourite: the crossbar challenge.
