Pep Guardiola says Manchester City are eager to embrace the challenge of facing 'the kings of the Champions League' in Real Madrid.

City take on the Spanish giants at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night in the first leg of our last 16 tie.

And addressing the media, together with David Silva, at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, the City manager highlighted the scale of the challenge in tackling the 13-times winners of Europe’s most prestigious knockout tournament.

“I know this is a big opportunity in the last 16. We are playing the king of this competition, so we know the challenge in front of us,” Guardiola declared.
