As Pep Guardiola’s men prepare to welcome Spurs to the Etihad Stadium, we are taking a trip down memory lane to recall some of the more memorable efforts in our modern history.
There is no shortage of talent in our list, with Ali Benarbia, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Uwe Rosler and Paul Walsh all featuring.
Benarbia’s stunning strike from December 2002 is arguably the pick of the bunch, though there is plenty to appreciate about the other contenders, with Foden and Rosler both netting headers and De Bruyne and Walsh converting well struck left footed finishes.
