Tommy Doyle said he was eager to learn all he can from his world class teammates after making his long-awaited Premier League debut for City in our 5-0 win over Newcastle United.

Having already figured in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup earlier this season, the 18-year-old was afforded his first taste of league action, coming on as second half substitute against the Magpies.

And as he reflected on another memorable evening at the Etihad, the midfielder – who is the grandson of late, great City legends Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe - said he was savouring every moment of being in around and the first team environment.

With David Silva at his mesmeric best and fellow youngster Phil Foden again impressing, Doyle said he was eager to learn everything he can from his illustrious team-mates.

“Phil and I have a good relationship and he tells me a lot of important information.
