Pep Guardiola says the attitude of his players makes him happy.

Unbeaten in 10 Premier League games and second in the table, City also sit fourth in the Champions League initial phase and are in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

It makes a stark contrast to last season’s frustrations and in spite of a long list of unavailable players.

Commenting on how good his squad’s team spirit has been, the boss said: “I don’t have any complaints about my players. Completely the opposite.

“You play bad, we say the tactics have to improve. When you play well but lose, the spirit has to improve.

“Football is a package; it’s not just one thing you have to fix.

“One day Phil [Foden] scores a lot of goals, other days he doesn’t. It’s a package. It’s how everyone fights and run and try again. That makes me so happy.”
