The Gunners are six points clear of City and Aston Villa but could have increased that to eight if they had seen off Arne Slot’s side.
But the boss says while the Blues are not turning draws into victories, we can only focus on ourselves and not what other teams do.
Speaking ahead of our FA Cup tie with Exeter, Pep said: “It’s better if a team is dropping points, but if we have three draws and aren’t able to win, it’s better to think of ourselves.
“It’d be a huge mistake to think the situation is better because a fantastic team like Liverpool can get a point at the Emirates.
“It’s better to think of ourselves, one of the incredible attributes we had in the past years was we’ve found a way to win games, don’t ask me why but we always did.
“Quite similar or even worse than the last three games we drew, but we were able to do it. But it’s a question of time and the process..
“The Nottingham Forest performance was worse than Sunderland, Chelsea and Brighton in terms of play and chances, but we didn’t find a way and in the past, we always found a way to win these games.
“Of course it’s fair, if you draw it’s fair, lose it’s fair, you have to do better. All we can do is ourselves. Of course it’s better to be six than eight points, but the reality is the reality.
“We have an incredible amount of tough games but there are 51 points to play for, six the difference, so everything is open.
“If we’re able to improve a few things a bit better, and what I said in the past, again it’s another process to grow as a team, we are so new, and it’s important to live the experience of the semi of the Carabao Cup and have the experience of players who’ve never played a final.
“And for other things, they’re so positive and happy that many things we are doing very well”
