Following a thrilling 3-1 comeback against Red Star Belgrade in our first Champions League game of the season, we returned to the Etihad Stadium for the second time in a week but with our minds focused on the Premier League.
In last season’s clash where we previously welcomed Steve Cooper’s side to Manchester, Pep Guardiola’s squad record an emphatic 6-0 win over Forest which included an Erling Haaland hat-trick.
However, last weekend’s match against was a lot closer, with Forest testing City’s resilience as we saw the game out with 10 players. But it was two early first-half goals by Phil Foden and Erling Haaland that extended our perfect start to the new campaign.
