City racked up a sixth successive win against Brentford in midweek and will look to make it seven against West Ham on Saturday.
With new signings bedding in well, established stars coming back to top form and youngsters emerging, the boss admits he couldn’t be happier.
“I’m excited because we have margins to improve,” said Pep
“So, margins to improve and to do it better. That is the best thing to happen.
“In moments we are good and we have incredible brains to read situations and get better.
“Fourth in the Champions League, in the Premier League we are there and we have reached the Carabao Cup semis again and play against [the defending] champions.
“That is what is motivating me to come in this morning and try to watch the Brentford game, analyse it and try to do [well] against West Ham to get better and better.
“Will it be enough to achieve [success], I don’t know.
“If it doesn’t improve, it will not be enough to lift trophies - still we have some things to do better.”
