And if we don’t reduce our usage soon, the Environmental Agency predicts that parts of the UK could run out of water by 2045.
The cause? Along with the challenges we face because of climate change, our increasing demand for water is overwhelming Britain’s ageing pipes and infrastructure.
But there is something we can all do about it.
That’s why Manchester City have teamed up with their official global water technology partner, Xylem.
Together they want to show football fans all the ways they can save water, and how they can pledge to become Water Heroes alongside their favourite players such as Sergio Aguero, John Stones, and Alex Greenwood.
