Riyad Mahrez’s late penalty strike in last Saturday’s Premier League clash at home to Spurs saw Pep Guardiola’s side become the quickest top-flight team to reach three figures for the campaign once more.
City have reached the century in just 38 games – and our latest achievement means we now dominate the top five in terms of fewest number of matches taken for a Premier League side to break through the three-figure milestone.
Manuel Pellegrini’s 2013/14 team still hold the record for reaching 100 in the fewest number of games, chalking up the century in just 34 games.
And under Pep Guardiola, City now occupy the next four places in standings in terms of number of games taken to score 100 goals.
