Extended action from our latest Premier League success at home to Brentford....

City went into the match knowing victory would see us move 12 points clear at the top of the table.

But Brentford proved dogged opponents and it took a 39th minute penalty from Riyad Mahrez, after Raheem Sterling had been upended, to open the scoring.

City then struck again on 69 minutes, from another Brentford mistake, as Kevin De Bruyne fired home from 18 yards after Sterling‘s initial effort had been blocked.

That was enough to seal a 19th league win of the season and keep City firmly in the title driving seat.
