Bell, widely regarded as one of the finest players in the history of the club, wore the famous sky blue shirt between 1966 and 1979 – a period that saw City lift seven major honours.
The King’s family were recently invited to the Etihad Stadium to get a first glimpse of our home kit for next season – a design inspired by the midfielder who passed away in January 2021 aged 74.
After visiting a match-worn shirt from Colin’s playing career, the family saw a video celebrating the inside forward’s impact on our club before a mannequin wearing our new PUMA kit was revealed in the centre circle.
“It’s a very emotional experience. It’s amazing that the club have decided to do this and for it to be dedicated to dad is a great tribute to him,” said Colin’s son Jon.
