It felt like an important moment for Manchester City as Andy Morrison lifted the Second Division Play-Off trophy after a comeback classic against Gillingham in 1999.

But, as time passes, those of City persuasion realise just how seminal that victory was.

It’s been a dream - and one we don’t want to wake up from any time soon.

As we head into the 24/25 season, we’re today celebrating that we have won 24 trophies in the 25 years since that May day – a truly incredible achievement spearheaded by Pep Guardiola but with honourable mentions for Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini and Kevin Keegan.

WEMBLEY 99 | UNTOLD STORIES

There have been eight Premier League titles, one First Division success, three FA Cups, six League Cups and three Community Shields while in Europe, we’ve lifted the UEFA Champions League as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
