After earlier chances went begging for Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, Reijnders sent us in at half-time in buoyant mood with a lovely left foot effort.
But the visitors, managed by Calum McFarlane following the departure of Enzo Maresca, found a late, late leveller in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Mato Gusto crossed from the right and the ball found its way to Enzo Fernandez who poked home at the third time of asking to frustrate all those of sky blue persuasion.
