City Lifestyles, which is delivered in partnership with Carex, aims to help families and children develop knowledge around the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Delivered in primary schools across Greater Manchester, the programme helps children to develop their social skills, practical cooking skills, hand hygiene knowledge and physical activity.
Scott and Ellie both spoke to the children about the importance of keeping themselves safe and healthy through hand hygiene, commenting on the processes which have been in place at the City Football Academy since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pair, who both visited separate schools, then took part in an ‘overnight oats’ cook along with the children.

City in the Community’s School Sports Manager, Lucy Milward, said: “Last season was different for many reasons and it became more important than ever to teach the children about hand hygiene in a way that is fun and engaging.
“Despite not being able to see the players in person, their virtual visit to the schools has made a really valuable and lasting impact on the children.
“Talking to footballing role models about how hand hygiene has been implemented at the CFA is a tangible way for them to understand just how important it is.
“We’d also like to thank Carex for their incredible support; not only in helping to fund the City Lifestyles programme but also for donating various products throughout the pandemic. It’s made a real difference to schools across Manchester.”
