The final weekend of August 2021 marked an historic day for the Club, with the unveiling of our very first statues outside the Etihad Stadium - in tribute to the legendary Vincent Kompany and David Silva.

The pair will be remembered through the generations as two of the catalysts for City’s modern-day period of success. Symbolically, their unveiling was conducted at daybreak - the day of City’s 5-0 victory over Arsenal.
The statues (soon to be followed with a third for fellow legend Sergio Aguero) provide a visible reminder of the instrumental roles the pair have played and were created by award-winning sculptor Andy Scott, constructed using thousands of welded pieces of galvanised steel.
In celebration of their unveiling, City Studios are proud to present ‘City Forever: The Story of Our Statues’ - a feature film, documenting the creation of the pieces from start to finish.
Featuring exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the full process, plus an interview with renowned artist Scott, see how the idea to commemorate three of City’s most decorated players became reality. It’s one not to be missed!
