Each day as part of ‘Maine Road 100’ we’re bringing you a special memory match to enjoy – and today’s is one of the greatest in our history.

In 1967, City delivered a performance so majestic it earned comparisons to the beauty of the ballet.

The snow was falling and the pitch was glazed with ice.

City’s game against Tottenham somehow went ahead and the home side produced one the best performances in our history, winning 4-1.

City boasted a team featuring sky blue geniuses like Colin Bell, Francis Lee, Mike Summerbee, Alan Oakes and Glynn Pardoe.

Spurs were also blessed with talent as Pat Jennings, Alan Mullery, Terry Venables and Jimmy Greaves all started on that cold afternoon.

The remarkable result spread belief among the squad that City could win the title – and, of course, they duly did just that.

To celebrate ‘Maine Road 100’, we are bringing you the highlights of that famous ‘Ballet on Ice’.

So, sit back and enjoy a look back at one of City’s greatest displays.
