The German made a string of world class saves to preserve his clean sheet and ensure that we would be taking part in Round Four for the seventh season in row under Pep Guardiola.
Ortega Moreno saved with his legs from Christian Pulisic and made himself big to deny youngster Lewis Hall from close range.

His battle with Hall continued in the second half with the City No.18 coming out on top once again as he went on to record his second clean sheet in three games this season.
And Taylor, speaking on Matchday Live, applauded Ortega Moreno for his Man of the Match performance.
He said: “To come in at a game at this level with not having that rhythm - which is so important for players - I think his performance was top.
“We were doing double takes in here at some of the shots saved by Ortega [Moreno] and we were like ‘has he saved that?’
“Then you see it on the replay that he got fingers to it, some of the saves he made were really, really top.
“That goes to show Chelsea’s contribution, they had a good go, it is difficult for them when they play five at the back and City’s build up play was so good.”
City’s usual first-choice goalkeeper Ederson was an unused substitute in Tuesday’s win over Chelsea.
But Taylor was quick to point out that the Brazilian and fellow team-mate Scott Carson would have been the first to congratulate Ortega Moreno on a good night’s work.
He added: “The goalkeepers are a little bit different we always say, they are cut from a different cloth but they have a real good union between them.
“I think there is real good support there and any dynamic like that is great and I think Ederson will be really supporting Ortega [Moreno].
“As will Scott Carson, you are really delighted when a keeper comes in who hasn’t played so much and puts on a performance like that.”
