Ilkay Gundogan, Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Rodri have all sent a message of support to Guido De Pauw, a Manchester City fan who was attacked in Belgium following our Champions League victory over Club Brugge.

The 63-year-old remains in a coma but is in a stable condition following the incident, which took place in a service station near Drongen after City’s 5-1 win on Tuesday evening.

Everyone at Manchester City knows Guido is a fantastic supporter of our football club – and this is our time to support him.

Gundogan said: “All of us here at Manchester City are thinking about you – keep fighting.”

Earlier on Friday, Pep Guardiola wore a t-shirt bearing the message ‘We’re with you Guido’ for his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s game against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The manager sent his best wishes to De Pauw, who is a member of the Blue Moon Belgium Supporters’ Club and reiterated the message that he and his family have the full support of everyone at Manchester City.

Everyone at City wishes Guido a full recovery - we are with you all the way.
