New York City FC play Portland Timbers in the MLS Cup final later today.

Formed in 2013, this is New York City’s first ever appearance in the showpiece game.

They booked their place in the final at Providence Park by beating Philadelphia 2-1 to win the Eastern Conference for the first time.

Manager Ronny Deila and assistant Nick Cushing now stand on the brink of an historic success.

Everyone at Manchester City wishes our sister club all the very best as they look to become MLS champions!

And some familiar faces from across the City Football Group have sent their GOOD LUCK messages to the boys ahead of the biggest game in US soccer.

Pep Guardiola, Zack Steffen and Ederson join the likes of Mumbai City head coach Des Buckingham, Sichuan star Wang Chu and Adil Rami of Troyes in sending their best wishes.

Portland v NYCFC kicks off at 20:00 UK on Saturday 11 December.
