The vote for the Nissan Goal of the Month for October is now open.

There is no shortage of eye-catching strikes for you to select from with October’s contenders beginning with another supreme finish from Erling Haaland, which saw the Norwegian set the seal on a memorable Etihad hat-trick in our 6-3 derby triumph against Manchester United.

Not to be outdone, Phil Foden then followed suit with a powerful, precision finish against Etihad to round off his own demolition derby hat-trick on what proved an unforgettable afternoon.

Joao Cancelo’s brilliant run and finish in our 4-0 Etihad success against Southampton also makes the grade with the Portuguese international demonstrating his skill and technique with a sublime effort.

Phil Foden gets a second nomination with another eye-catching effort of his own during that Southampton victory, the England star executing a delightful chip to beat Saints’ keeper Gavin Bazunu.

Also catching the eye was a first City goal for our recent signing Yui Hasegawa with the Japanese midfielder’s fine long-range effort rounding off a dominant 4-0 FA Women’s Super League success at home to Leicester.

Kevin De Bruyne also makes the October short-list with two spectacular efforts of his own.

The first saw the brilliant Belgian despatch a stunning 25-yard effort to seal our 3-1 league win over Brighton at the Etihad.

And last, but by no means least, is De Bruyne’s quite brilliant free-kick which earned City a precious three points by securing a 1-0 win at Leicester on Saturday.
