The short-list for October’s Nissan Goal of the Month award has been revealed...

It was another busy month for both Pep Guardiola and Gareth Taylor’s City teams with the games coming thick and fast.

And there were no shortage of outstanding goals to choose from across the calendar month.

We kick off our selection with Mateo Kovacic’s fine effort in our 3-2 Premier League win at home to Fulham, with what proved the Croatian’s second strike of the game.

Also in the frame for your vote is Jeremy Doku’s sublime strike against the Cottagers that same day which saw the winger cut in from the left before firing home in style.

Bunny Shaw is no stranger to conjuring up special moments and the Jamaican goal machine rose to the occasion once again by despatching a dramatic late winner to secure a crucial 2-1 Women’s Super League win for City away against Liverpool

Team-mate Lauren Hemp also makes the October short-list thanks to an inspired piece of improvisation which saw the England international conjure up a superb flick to score in our 2-1 home league triumph against Aston Villa

Josko Gvardiol’s latest exquisite thunderbolt is also up for consideration, the Croatian firing home in stunning style in City’s 2-1 Premier League win away at Wolves.

That Molineux success was, of course, sealed thanks to a dramatic injury time header from John Stones and, not surprisingly, the England defender’s timely intervention is also amongst the October contenders

Leading scorer Erling Haaland is also in the running thanks to his early and decisive match winner at home to Southampton which helped secure a vital 1-0 Etihad league success.

And last, but by no means least in the October short-list, is Matheus Nunes’ fine effort during our Carabao Cup fourth round clash away at Tottenham Hotspur.

No shortage of compelling candidates then – all you have to do is to select your own favourite and cast your vote below!

The winner is set to be announced next Monday - good luck to all our contenders!
