Oleks Zinchenko hailed City captain Fernandinho as 'a legend' after Tuesday night's 0-0 draw at Porto ensured we finished top of Group C in the Champions League.

After his recent return from a month out injured, the Brazilian midfielder played the full 90 minutes in Porto in what was a gruelling, physical battle.

And asked to sum up his influence, Zinchenko was effusive in his praise of our captain.

“Fernandinho‘s a legend - this guy is so important,” said the Ukrainian.

“When I first came to the Club he helped me with a lot of things. Even now he gives us all a lot of advice

“He’s our leader - it’s very important to have this type of player.”
