It was straight back to work for City on Thursday as the focus switched to domestic issues – and Saturday’s crucial Premier League home game against Fulham.

In the wake of Wednesday’s excellent 3-1 Champions League win over Sevilla, which rounded off our Group G campaign in style, spirits were high amongst the squad.

It proved a memorable night for our Academy in particular, with Rico Lewis marking his first City start by becoming the youngest player in Champions League history to score when featuring in the starting eleven.

Appropriately enough, there were blue skies aplenty as City went about their work at the CFA.

However, with three more crucial home games to come before the season goes into hiatus for the World Cup finals later this month, the focus remains firmly fixed on the task in hand.

And with Erling Haaland amongst those taking part in Thursday’s session, the City squad stepped up preparations for what is sure to be a tough encounter against Marco Silva’s Fulham who have made a fine start to life back in the top flight.
