Hellfire is regarded as one of the most exciting upcoming stars in the gaming world.
The 17-year-old from Denmark has already achieved great success in Fortnite’s competitive scene, having placed second in the Chapter 2 Season 8 Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) as well as winning multiple Cash Cups.
Jacob said, “I am unbelievably excited to be playing for Manchester City. The club has a huge profile in esports and I can’t wait to progress my career with them.
“I’m looking forward to working hard and giving every new challenge my all!”
Jacob is the latest player to join Manchester City’s growing Esports team, which also includes the Club’s first Fortnite player, Aidan “Threats” Mong, who joined in October 2021 and Konrad “Skram” who joined in April this year.
Hellfire has also previously served as Skram’s Duos partner in various Fortnite competitions.
He will make his first major competitive appearance for the club on June 18 at DreamHack Summer, in Sweden.
