City fine-tuned preparations in training on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday's tea-time assignment at Burnley where we will be seeking to extend our perfect start to 2021.

Pep Guardiola‘s side will travel to Turf Moor seeking to extend our magnificent run of form that has seen us win the last 12 games across all competitions and go 19 games unbeaten in total since early November.

That remarkable run also saw City create a new English record in achieving nine wins from nine games in January - the most by an English playing in the top four tiers of the game since the formation of the Football League in 1888.

Guardiola has never lost against Sean Dyche’s side, winning 11 of his 12 meetings against the Clarets.

However, the Spaniard says past results are irrelevant and he is preparing for a tough test at Turf Moor.

“Always I think when playing Burnley, especially away, that it will never be easy,” the boss warned at his pre-match press conference.

“They have played together for Sean Dyche for a long time and they know what to do really well.

“I pay zero attention to what happened in the past. It is about tomorrow, what we have to do to beat them. That is only my concern.”
