Pep Guardiola says Bernardo is his 'weakness' - and praised the Portuguese skipper's attitude and application.

In spite of those words, the boss also said he wanted more from our captain than he saw against West Ham.

The Blues won 3-0 to top the Premier League (ahead of Arsenal’s evening game at Everton), but Pep felt there were areas where his team still need to tighten up.

“Bernie is my weakness,” smiled Guardiola.

“He’s top But today he had to play better. Today I’m not happy with him and he’s my favourite one but today I’m not happy with him.

“He knows exactly what we need to do to play better but he has a special sense to compete and in the bad moments to make the step up.

“Few players can play in the Bernabeu, Camp Nou, Anfield. They are born to play there and Bernie is one of them.

“He has played most minutes with me in Manchester and that’s because he is reliable and can play in five positions.”
