With both the Premier League 2 and Under-18s Premier League title races reaching the business end of the season, there will be more live broadcast coverage of our EDS and Academy sides across the month on CITY+.
And we kick-off our live coverage with this Saturday’s crucial Under-18 Premier League North derby when City travel to take on United for an 11am kick-off.
DAVID JAMES: STRIKER
Former City and England keeper David James’ remarkable cameo as an emergency City striker will be celebrated in a new CITY+ documentary coming this month.
David James: Striker recalls the famous afternoon when DJ was suddenly re-deployed as a forward in our final game of the 2004/05 season at home to Middlesbrough.
In the latest City Studios production, our former goalkeeper lifts the lid on the remarkable story that saw him dramatically summoned upfront by manager Stuart Pearce as, with the game tied at 1-1, City chased the late goal that would see us qualify for the UEFA Cup.
In a memorable finale, Nicky Weaver was brought on in place of Claudio Reyna and took over in goal with James donning an outfield shirt and shunted upfield to bolster the City attack.

One of the greatest FA Cup comebacks of all time is already available for fans to celebrate once again as part of an original documentary.
Featuring interviews from goalscorers Jon Macken and Shaun Wright-Phillips, former City midfielder Michael Brown (who was part of the opposition team!) and legendary City kitman Les Chapman, you can relive one of the most memorable matches in our recent history once again.

Available from the midnight after the game, we take care not to reveal the score when publishing the full-match replay to allow any of our fans who don’t want to know the score in advance to enjoy the re-run.
CLASSIC MATCH REPLAYS
Three classic City matches can be accessed in full on CITY+ throughout March.
Already available to savour is our 2014 League Cup final triumph when Manuel Pellegrini’s side beat Sunderland 3-1 at Wembley in a game lit up by Yaya Toure’s stunning long-range strike.
Also forthcoming is our 4-1 win over United in 2004 in what was the first derby to be staged at the Etihad and saw a famous victory crowned by Shaun Wright-Phillips’ spectacular effort.
And finally later this month we will rewind the clock back to 2012 when City’s vital 2-1 Etihad triumph over Chelsea, a victory that proved pivotal as our hunt for a first-ever Premier League crown was stepped up, is made available.
