Following Phil Foden's thunderbolt in the 3-1 victory over Manchester United, it feels like the perfect time to look back at some of the best derby day strikes.

The Stockport-born star now has six goals in derbies, describing the equaliser against Erik ten Hag’s side as one of his best ever goals.

Back in our first season at the Etihad Stadium, Shaun Wright-Phillips performed one of the great derby celebrations after one of the great derby goals, when his strike smashed down off the underside of the crossbar in a 4-1 win.

In 2006, Hatem Trabelsi scored his only goal for City at Old Trafford, also the venue for a Craig Bellamy stunner three years later.

And we couldn’t forget the quickest screamer of all time when Ilkay Gundogan’s 12-second volley set us up for FA Cup glory as part of our historic Treble last season.
