The Argentine turned provider for Phil Foden to slide home a third midway through the second 45, before adding his second and City’s fourth to complete the scoring late on.

The win see us become the first English club in history to simultaneously hold the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

It also means Pep Guardiola is now the most successful manager in the tournament’s history, surpassing Carlo Ancelotti with his fourth triumph to date.
