Speaking at the end of Monday night’s Matchday Live show, Vassell backed us to keep the run going.
“Players feed off that energy,” the former City striker stated.
“If we’re at home you’re thinking we’re bound to score some goals and create some chances.
“If you’re a forward, it’s an opportunity to get on the scoresheet. You’ve got players in positive spirits before the manager has even said anything.
“They still have to do the hard work and be professional and I back them to do that this weekend.”
Vassell was joined in the studio by Joleon Lescott and the pair also discussed previous matches against Everton and the danger men for our visitors.
