In the build-up to last Saturday’s Premier League meeting, the former England internationals sat down in the Matchday Live studio to discuss one of the most dramatic past encounters between the two sides.
Ex-Spurs captain King opened the scoring on that day in 2004 with an unstoppable drive, before the hosts cruised into a 3-0 lead before the break.
With Joey Barton also sent off before the restart, things looked bleak for Kevin Keegan’s side at White Hart Lane.
However, a Sylvain Distin header three minutes into the second half sparked one of City’s greatest-ever comebacks - with the visitors winning 4-3 in our FA Cup Fourth Round replay.
And both King and Lescott reflected on our incredible victory on Saturday’s Matchday Live, discussing the half-time atmosphere in the Spurs dressing room, the importance of momentum in City’s comeback, and Ledley’s incredible opening goal!
