Mateo Kovacic reflects on some of the defining moments in his glittering career to date.

The Croatia international’s career has taken him from Milan to Madrid, via London and a World Cup final, to Manchester City, where he’s currently enjoying his third full season.

Kovacic’s campaign has been frustrated by injury, but his recent return to City’s matchday squad has provided a welcome boost as we approach the business end of the season.

A versatile midfielder with bags of experience at the top of the game, his career journey thus far has seen him represent his country in the 2018 World Cup final, win four Champions Leagues and domestic top flight titles in three different countries, including at City.

At just 31, there are sure to be plenty more incredible moments coming up in Kovacic’s career but, in the above video, he looks back on some of the high points he’s enjoyed so far.

The Croatian also reflects on his move from Chelsea to City, the unique demands that are placed on him and his team-mates at the Etihad Stadium, and what it feels like to win the Premier League.
