City midfielder Mateo Kovacic picks his ultimate side from fellow Croatians to have graced the Premier League.

The 30-year-old is approaching 200 appearances in the English top flight, where he’s plied his trade since joining Chelsea in 2019.

Kovacic moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer and played an important role in helping Pep Guardiola‘s men to a record fourth successive Premier League title.

In doing so, he became only the third Croatian to win the English top flight alongside Dejan Lovren and City team-mate Josko Gvardiol.

Both figure in Kovacic’s XI formed of his fellow countrymen, alongside another ex-City man.

It’s an impressive side - while only 29 Croatians have plied their trade in the Premier League, they have all been of the highest quality.
