Ahead of returning to former club Wolves this afternoon, Matheus Nunes took a trip down memory lane as he got to work in a bakery.

The Portuguese midfielder worked at a bakery back in Portugal while rising through the ranks in youth football.

After a brilliant start to life at City, we took him to the Flat Baker in Manchester’s Ancoats region to meet the chefs and make his own delicious pastel de natas - a Portuguese custard tart.

While there, Nunes discusses his life up until this point and the footballing journey that saw him arrive at the European champions earlier this month.

He also describes his admiration for Pep Guardiola and what he hopes to get out of life at the Etihad Stadium.

All this while donning an apron and making the famous Portuguese delicacy for the first time!

Once made, he hands out the tasty treats to the locals before boss Debora samples his attempts.

Having excelled in a short space of time at City, can Nunes turn his hand to baking just as quickly?
