City welcome Unai Emery’s side to the Etihad on Tuesday, April 22, for a crucial Premier League fixture that gets underway at 20.00pm (UK).
It’s a game that carries huge ramifications in terms of the battle to secure a top-five finish and with it a place in next season’s Champions League.
City go into the match lying in fourth place in the table but just a point ahead of Villa who sit in seventh with just two points separating the sides sitting third to seventh.
The visit of Villa is also the latest chapter in a rivalry that has thrown up numerous classic matches and special moments down the years.
None more so than City’s incredible 3-2 victory over the Villains on the last day of the 2022/23 season.

We also rewind the clock back to September 2003 and a 4-1 home win over Villa which featured both our maiden Premier League win at the Etihad - and Nicolas Anelka’s only City hat-trick.
Last but not least we also revisit a 1-0 home win over Villa from November 1995 that was lit up by an outrageous late back-heeled assist from Niall Quinn to help set up Georgi Kinkladze for his maiden City goal.
