Iliman Ndiaye has expressed his delight after providing an assist in our pulsating 3-2 UEFA Champions League victory over RB Leipzig.

An own goal by Castello Lukeba had us ahead at the interval but the hosts levelled after the break as Ridle Baku’s cross found the net.

Ndiaye’s superb cross set up Enzo Fernández to head us back ahead before Leipzig came roaring back a second time through Antonio Nusa.

Erling Haaland had the final say, sliding in the winner with just over ten minutes left to play.

In his interview with City Studios after the game, Ndiaye was happy to have played a key part in getting our third victory of the League Phase this term.

“It’s very good. I’m enjoying it. It was a dream. Now it’s about forgetting the dream and just trying to do the job for the team to win the games.

“That’s when you know you have runs in the box and good people scoring with their head.

“You just put the ball in the nice area and you just know they’re going to score.

“It’s good to contribute for the win.”
