Pep Guardiola’s side take on Eddie Howe’s Newcastle on Saturday 7 March, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (UK) at St. James’ Park.
It’s a third cup encounter with the Magpies this season. Earlier in the year we beat Newcastle in both legs of our Carabao Cup semi-final matches to advance to the final of the competition with a 5-1 aggregate.
Shortly after that, our boys in blue beat today’s host with a 2-1 Premier League triumph at the Etihad.
With City still fighting for four trophies, Guardiola’s side will be looking to keep it that way come full-time this evening and in turn secure passage to the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition.
