The hugely talented central defender sealed a move to City earlier today and has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract, in a deal that will take him through to the summer of 2031.
O’Reilly knows all about the quality of Guéhi from being on international duty alongside him with the Three Lions.
And he says his arrival will only add further quality and experience to Pep Guardiola’s squad.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” said O’Reilly speaking at Monday’s pre-match press conference ahead of latest UEFA Champions League clash away at Bodo/Glimt.
“He’s a top guy, top player, we can’t wait for him to get started and we will make him feel welcome and we can’t wait to see him.
“It’s big boost for us. We have a few defensive injuries.
“He is a big character and a leader, it will be good for us and I can’t wait [for him to start].”
