The 20-year-old Academy graduate has put pen to paper on a five-year deal, one which will keep him at the Etihad through to the summer of 2030.
Having first broken into Pep Guardiola’s side at the start of the 2024/25 season, the creative midfielder has never looked back and has demonstrated his versatility by also shining as a left-back.
To date, he has made 27 senior appearances across all competitions, weighing in with five goals.
The new contract is just the latest landmark in a memorable City journey that began when Nico first joined the Club as part of our Under-9s.

And talking to City Studios in the wake of signing his deal, Nico highlighted the huge sacrifices and support made by his mum as proving especially important in helping inspire his progression to date.
“I’m so happy, I feel really good to have signed this contract with this amazing club. It’s made my family proud and yeah; it’s an amazing day,” Nico said.
“My mum has been making sacrifices for me since I was a baby, and she has put her life into mine and I’m so happy she was able to do this and just hope one day I can pay her back.
“She’s so proud and obviously she has to take a lot of credit as well because I wouldn’t be here without her, so I’d like to say thank you to my mum.”
