The Blues’ Academy graduate bagged an impressive brace before Kevin De Bruyne rubber-stamped the 3-1 success over the Pilgrims as we fought from a goal down against the Championship side.
O’Reilly’s first saw him equalise before half-time when he flicked the Belgian’s free-kick into the net.
Then, with the scores level approaching the final 15 minutes, he repeated the trick when shrugging off his marker at a corner to powerfully direct the ball into the bottom corner.
And the 19-year-old says he was delighted to contribute to the team as we reached the last-eight of the historic competition.
“I thought it was a great game. I was happy to get the win and I’m buzzing to get the two goals as well,” he said.
“The first goal we needed to get one before half-time to keep spirits up and the second one to take the lead, yeah I’m happy with it.
“I think both goals were important and I was happy with both of them. I’m so happy to have helped my team out and now onto the quarter-finals.”
