A smart turn and low angled drive by Angeldahl to put City ahead away to Liverpool in the Continental Cup and on the way to a 2-0 win.
Laura Coombs v United
Coombs’ second entry for this month’s vote, her stooping header against United earned City a point in front of a record Etihad crowd.
Riyad Mahrez v Liverpool
A sumptuous finish from our Algerian winger who collected Rodrigo‘s lofted pass into the box with an immaculate first touch that took him past his marker and then a low curling shot that gave the keeper no chance.
Nathan Ake v Liverpool
The fifth goal of a pulsating Carabao Cup tie, Ake arrived on cue to head home Kevin De Bruyne‘s superb cross and put the Blues 3-2 ahead and on the way to victory against Liverpool.
Rodrigo v Leeds
An instinctive prod from the Spaniard as he followed up Mahrez‘s low shot that was pushed out by Leeds keeper Illan Meslier.
Erling Haaland v Leeds
A delightful finish from our Norwegian goal-machine as he exchanged passes with Jack Grealish before firing an angled shot into the bottom right corner to put City 3-0 up at Elland Road.
