We have a host of great goals to look at above – and then it’s the tough task of picking your favourite!
There are six to select from and they span across our Men’s, Women’s and EDS teams.
Phil Foden v Newcastle United
What a wonderful individual goal to open the scoring against Newcastle United.
The game finished 2-0 to City and Phil Foden certainly set us on our way with an exquisite solo effort that had the Etihad Stadium purring.
Bunny Shaw v Tottenham Hotspur
Bunny Shaw is on fire this season, as she targets the WSL Golden Boot award.
She’s the women’s equivalent of Erling Haaland – and, like the men’s star striker, she tends to score all types of goals.
This one was a clever header from close-range and formed part of a terrific hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur at the Academy Stadium.
We did actually go behind in this one but Shaw’s treble helped us to three valuable points as we continue our title challenge against the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Bunny Shaw v Brighton & Hove Albion
Bunny Shaw was on target (of course!) the following week as we defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 away.
Her opener on 21 minutes was a beautiful team goal, made possible by the delicate intricate passing of Yui Hasegawa, who has been phenomenal this season.
Shaw produced a perfect backheel into Hasegawa in the box who, in turn, played a precise reverse ball back to Shaw, who finished expertly.
Shaw scored at the death, with the game poised at 1-1 at that point, to again bag a vital three points.
Her double also put her on 26 goals across all competitions, meaning she overtook Nikita Parris, who struck 24 goals during the 2018/19 campaign when City claimed a domestic cup double.
Erling Haaland v Burnley
Burnley put up some real resistance in the opening stages of the FA Cup quarter-final tie at the Etihad Stadium.
But it was that man, Erling Haaland, who broke the deadlock and opened the floodgates on an eventual 6-0 win over Vincent Kompany’s men.
He was played in brilliantly by strike partner, Julian Alvarez, and he won the race to the ball with Bailey Peacock-Farrell racing out to claim.
Erling Haaland v Burnley
Erling Haaland bagged his first in the 6-0 win over Burnley in the 32nd minute.
And his second was just three minutes after to make the job for the Clarets even harder at the Etihad Stadium.
It was made by a pinpoint cross from the left by Phil Foden but our Norwegian striker was there, as he so often is, to finish brilliantly.
That was his second of the night – and he went on to secure his hat-trick just before the hour mark in the second half.
That win has set us up for a semi-final at Wembley against fellow Championship side, Sheffield United.
Julian Alvarez v Burnley
Julian Alvarez has so much confidence running through his veins at present.
He’s won the World Cup with Argentina this winter, he’s signed a new contract extension with City and he’s bang in form in front of goal.
Erling Haaland has enjoyed most of the plaudits this term but Alvarez has gone about his business with minimum fuss and maximum effect.
This goal was a real pearl.
Played in by Kevin De Bruyne and running towards goal alongside Ameen Al-Dakhil, Alvarez gave the Burnley defender the slip with a superb cutback before slamming the ball powerfully past Bailey Peacock-Farrell to make it 6-0.
Jaden Heskey v Manchester United
Jaden Heskey, son of former England striker Emile, scored the final goal in a 6-0 EDS home win over Manchester United – but he saved the best for last.
The result moved us back to the top of the Premier League 2 and Heskey’s effort was a thing of beauty.
Carlos Borges flew down the right wing and played a ball into the danger zone.
After ricocheting off a couple of United defenders, Heskey showed amazing vision to chip the keeper and complete the scoring.
