Julian Alvarez’s superb strike against Wolves has emerged victorious via our online poll.
The electrifying effort was the high point of what was otherwise a difficult afternoon in the West Midlands.
After Wolves had taken the lead, Alvarez levelled matters with a stunning free-kick just before the hour mark.
Lining up on the left side, just outside the area, Phil Foden dummied as if to take it before stopping, leaving Alvarez to run up and curl a beautiful right foot drive into Jose Sa’s top right-hand corner.
It was a brilliant goal and is now one of six he’s scored already across 2023/24.
On top of this effort at Molineux, he’s also bagged goals in the 1-0 win over Newcastle, the 5-1 victory over Fulham, two in the Champions League triumph over Red Star Belgrade, this one at Wolves and a scorcher in the 3-1 victory away at RB Leipzig in our second UCL match this past midweek.
Congratulations to Julian for winning this September award.
