Oleks Zinchenko says City will heed the lessons of our derby defeat to United and look to come back even stronger.

Our remarkable run of 21 straight wins – and 28 games unbeaten in all competitions – came to an end as United took the derby spoils 2-0 at the Etihad.

A first minute Bruno Fernandes penalty and second half Luke Shaw strike did the damage.

But reflecting on the result, Zinchenko said the City players would digest and learn the lessons.

“To concede the goal in the first minute is not easy – but we controlled the game and created chances to win the game, but we didn’t score,” Zinchenko reflected.

“We have to learn how to come back from this situation. We will analyse the game and I am pretty sure we can come back stronger.

“We are still playing in all competitions and we want to win all four. This can be a signal for us to be more focused.”
