When Erin, a member of staff in our hospitality team, was diagnosed with cancer in January 2022 it wasn’t long before she was contacted by our manager.
The pair spent around 10 minutes on the phone - something that Erin says lifted her spirits after receiving the news.
Coming from a family of City fans, student Erin originally took the role on matchdays as she knew her mum, dad and brother would all be at the game anyway.
Now, with the cancer in remission, she has returned to work.
Erin was keen to say thank you to the hospital workers who had helped her and she got that opportunity for the August encounter with Nottingham Forest when Pep offered the use of his box.
The doctors and nurses were treated to an unforgettable matchday experience as we ran out 6-0 winners.
After the match, Guardiola even came up to say hello!
