Pep Guardiola insists stability on the pitch is the key attribute his team need to recapture as they go in search of a strong finale to this season.

Guardiola stresses that City’s unprecedented success in the modern era has been built on this firm foundation with the Blues collecting 18 trophies under the manager’s tenure.

“It’s not about pointing the finger to someone. It happened all the season.

“You have to be stable. You have to concede few goals.

“This was our secret when people say how good Man City play these years.

“But one of the reasons why was our work ethic, our discipline, we concede few.

“This season was an exception in what happened in our period here together.”
