Guardiola is a big admirer of Bayern, having coached the German giants for three years between 2013 and 2016 before heading to the Etihad.
He’s aware of the threats of Thomas Tuchel’s men in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final – and says the players are, too.
But he’s eager for his sky blues to look at themselves as they approach the exciting encounter at the Allianz Arena.
He said: “I didn’t say to the team at all ‘be careful with Bayern Munich, you know how difficult they are, 3-0, don’t relax’.
“They are not relaxed. Because they felt it. They know it. They know what a good team it is. Like everybody knows.

“What we have to do and always what I believe in these type of games is when you are yourself and look at yourself more than the opponent, you’re closer to what you’re looking for.
“The opponents have many weapons, many ways to punish you. That’s why you have to be yourself and impose your own qualities and your own strengths as much as possible.”
