Pep Guardiola isn't getting carried away after our 5-0 win over Burnley and has challenged his players to put together a winning run in the Premier League.

City were excellent against the Clarets and became the first side since Notts County back in 1907 to record four successive home games by at least a five-goal margin against the same opponent.

The result moves City up to eighth in the table, six points behind leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.

With City now qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League with two games to spare, Guardiola wants to see his players focus on domestic affairs until February and improve our situation still further.

“It’s just one game,” he said.

“We will see if we can continue in the next games.

“It was a good victory. In the Champions League we are already qualified, so the target until February is the Premier League.”
